Mama Bear Law is a tech startup that happens to be a law firm. We hire the best practitioners in the country, the engineers who build their tools, and increasingly people who are both.
If you're a paralegal, an intake specialist, or someone who reads medical records for a living, you've done the math. The work is changing. Most firms are waiting to see what happens.
We're not waiting. We're rebuilding the work from the ground up, and we need people who know it cold to tell us how it should go. You'll spend year one doing things your profession won't standardize for another decade — and you'll leave here with experience almost nobody in your field has.
The people who direct these tools are going to matter more than ever. That's the job.
The parts where being tired makes you worse
The parts where being human makes you better
The line between those two isn't fixed — you move it
The tools we build here won't stay here. This is what the industry runs on in ten years.
We're rebuilding how medical malpractice cases are found, proved, and won.
Medical malpractice is a cottage industry. Hundreds of small practices, each investigating cases one at a time, each absorbing the cost alone. It's why so many families who call a lawyer never hear back.
A child injured during delivery needs care that costs millions. A family that lost a mother needs answers. Investigating those cases properly is expensive — so most firms don't, and nobody ever looks.
We're bringing those firms together under one brand and driving the cost of investigating a case down far enough that the math changes. Cases a traditional firm has to decline become cases we can pursue.
More families get a lawyer. That's the whole point.
Supporting families nationwide
Nobody here is waiting on a process to be handed down. The firm is being built while you work in it — and you'll build a good part of it.
You won't be handed a binder from 1998. Most of what you'll use, you'll help design.
Say "this would work better if—" and it gets built. Sometimes that week.
You'll work directly with the people running the firm. Decisions take hours, not quarters.
Our team works from Florida, Minnesota, New York and beyond. Always has.
Not as a novelty. As the tool you work in.
Personal injury advertising is wall-to-wall clenched jaws and closing-argument poses. That's never been how the best of this work actually gets done.
Mama Bear Law was built for the families who need someone formidable and someone who will sit on the phone with them at 9pm. Deeply compassionate to people in pain. Absolutely unyielding toward anyone who harmed them. Mama, our AI, exists because a family in crisis deserves someone endlessly patient on the first call — not a script and a stopwatch.
If that's the kind of firm you'd want representing your own family, you'll fit here.

Be excellent at the job. Be genuinely excited about the technology. In that order — but we mean both.
Applying takes one step: send your résumé. Then your first interview is with Mama — our AI — whenever suits you. 2am on a Saturday works for her.
You'll decide which cases move and where they go. Deep med-mal case evaluation instinct required: SOL, liability, damages, causation. You'll then teach that instinct to the systems that scale it.
Apply →You'll own the first conversation a family has with us. You've done intake and you're great at it — warmth under pressure, nothing missed. You'll supervise both human intakers and Mama, and make both better.
Apply →You'll build the engine: intake agents, records analysis, evaluation tooling, the automations that hold the pipeline together. Legal experience not required. Shipping fast and caring about the outcome, required.
Apply →You'll keep a fully remote firm running and automate everything about it that can be automated. If you already run your own life on AI tools, this is your job.
Apply →If you're excellent at something we need and excited about where this is going, send us your résumé anyway.
